Heh Vau Zain Cheth Teth Yod Lamed Nun Samekh Ayin Tzaddi Qoph

They are called simple because they have only one sound, as opposed to the double letters, and are not mother letters.

In the Gra and Ari trees, the simple letters are paths communicating between the middle pillar, Mildness, and the left or right Pillars.
