Although this picture is more often shown with a male
figure[1],
here you can see the "Adam Kadmon", אדם קדמון, meaning Primordial Man
and sometimes also called the Body of God
. This shows how the Tree of Life relates to the human body — that is, how the Microcosm reflects the Macrocosm.
The tree I show here is the Ari Tree, which differs from traditional Hermetic Qabalah. This way, you can explore some other thinking about the letters and numbers. There is also yet another Tree in use, the Gra.
In this display, I took the liberty of associating Sephiroth with planets the way they are in Hermetic Qabalah (hence the colors I used), and I assumed that the Tarot trumps associate with letters as Crowley describes them in his Book of Thoth rather than following the numbering of the 32 Paths (that is, The Fool with Alef rather than with Path 11).
Note the assignment of Tarot trumps to letters, not path numbers! This means that anything you see relating cards to pairs of Sephiroth are accidents. Got that? Okay. …And of course, these pure chance arrangements, such as having The Sun join Tiphareth (Sun) and Yesod (Moon), make much less sense than traditional Hermetic Qabalah, which has The Sun joining Hod (Mercury) and Yesod. Right? Much less sense.
