Before Abraham was, I am.

Kether, the Primum Mobile or Beginning of Whirling, is the place where the Light breaks through and the Ineffable prepares to become perceptible. This is Unity, the undifferentiated One; and standing here, if our perceptions would permit it — if there could still be perception! — we could see infinity. This is Atziluth, the Archetypal World, before whom Time is ashamed, the mind bewildered, and the understanding dark. Liber XV

It exists in no-Time, an eternal NOW where there is never I was, only I AM. In order for there to be a before and an after, this One must destroy itself. That destruction, that sundering, is the veil of the Presence of the Most High. Above it is the essence of all things that are one Thing and no Thing, the Archetype. Below it is the realm of imagination and creativity, Briah: out of the sundering of I AM comes Wisdom and Understanding.
