Vau (ו)

Vau, the sixteenth path, connects Chokmah and Chesed. It is the character "V", "U", "W", or "O".

Vau is one of the twelve simple letters, which represent astrological signs. The simple letters are secondary directions, the edges of the box, connecting its faces. Its attributions are:

Yetsiratic Attribution[2] Triumphal or Eternal Intelligence, because it is the pleasure of the Glory, beyond which is no other Glory like to it; also called the Paradise prepared for the Righteous.

As the third letter of the Tetragrammaton, Vau stands for Ain Soph Aur (אין סוף אור, the Limitless Light), the flash of lightning — also called the flaming sword — that is the path of the descending Light during the Creation. You can see the path of that flash on the main picture of this set: it connects the ten Sephiroth, traveling down from Kether to Malkuth.

Vau is also the Hebrew conjunction "and". Think about that as you connect the first and second QBLLINK(Heh): of that ineffable Name. ...Aaaaaaannnnnd....

Its number, six, is the first perfect number, a number that is the product of all its factors: 1 x 2 x 3 = 6. It is the number of Tiphareth and of the Supernals: they being the first, second, and third Sephiroth, they are six both by addition and multiplication.
